• Biphasic systems were here proposed as enantioseparation platforms for chiral drugs. Two types of biphasic evaluated, the ABS and conventional ELLE. CILs esters tartaric acid used selectors. ELLE best option R / S -PRP resolution. CPC enabled an efficient scale-up developed process. This work aims to develop platform propranolol ( R/S -PRP) resorting ionic liquids (CILs) selectors systems. More specifically, efficiency enantioselective liquid–liquid extraction (ELLE) systems, both aqueous non-aqueous are studied, aiming do a direct comparison between these two -PRP. Studies carried evaluate proper phase forming components ELLE, -PRP:chiral selector ratio, potential over acid, most suitable alkyl chain length acid. It was found that selected organic formers 1,2-dichloroethane ethyl acetate, greatly impact enantiorecognition system. system identified composed 1,2-dichloroethane-water, dipentyl-L-tartrate boric selectors, with enantioselectivity 2.54. further employed centrifugal partition chromatography, assess its scalability potential, being shown it possible increase purity from 59% 75%.
